It's a real shame Studio Canal is trying to compete with the Criterion Collection. It would be totally possible if they would put more effort into these releases, but they just don't. This particular title (Ran) has sub par image quality and subtitle issues. I can only imagine how glorious a Criterion release of Ran would have been. Studio Canal FAIL
