Customer Review: SAXOLOCO put on your dancin 'shoes
Im far from a Kenny G fan, but another late night comin home from a ballgame , another 6 innings at 3rd base gig, tired and on an adrenaline journey I had to wait 30 minutes, parked in my Metro Atlanta driveway! why?, this song reached out over WJZC and grabbed me by the collar sayin..."Hold on mon!! dis is a gateway tune!!! find out who this is, although Kenny's distinctive soprano sax shouldve alerted me. Gateway indeed, up temp and pleasantly surprising moving me from that post game mood into a grab my babe, put on my dancin shoes, and Brasilia, here we come!!! I could care less about the criticisms, the minutia or esoterica, by other reviewers of more "refined" jazz tastes.... these songs, individually, or collectively made me feel good, perhaps its cause my babe/lady/ wife is lightly latin and these songs got me ready to move n groove... SAXOLOCO was the door opener for a pleasently refreshing, mood enhancing experience for me/us.... Hey isnt dat what de moosic spose to do bro!!!! garmankirk
Customer Review: GREAT CD
I bought this CD for my parents who love to ballroom dance. THEY LOVED THIS CD!!!!!!

There is glitter and glamor, music and dancing. Maybe even your name up in lights on the marque. But at the end of your DJ party, it's time to do the real work. Which is a lead in to this article on why Disc Jockey's deserve and earn every cent they make. It's what's behind the scene that counts and a four hour job can mean many more hours of hard work and a lot less money per hour as the end result.

So many times It has been said by friends, family or future customers "That is an awful lot of money for only four hours work". Yes indeed, I am just getting rich quick for doing nothing but playing some music. It gets under your skin sometimes. If only the truth were known (and if you could get anyone to listen to you), a four hour night would be a sweet dream Indeed.

If you have been a successful DJ for awhile, I am not going to be telling you anything new. If you have considering becoming a professional DJ then I have a few things for you to ponder. If you plan on hiring a DJ please read on.

You buy some equipment to get you going, a good chunk of change, but a good DJ also has backup gear to fall back on in case of an emergency (now it's more than a few bucks). It takes a lot of 4 hour jobs to pay for it. You need to advertise, promote yourself and do a lot of legwork visiting clubs, bars and maybe a few afternoons at some wedding promotion events (you pay for a X booth). You would like to drive a nice sports car but your stuck with that 15 passenger van, not to mention that it gets 12 miles to the gallon.. Every week you jog down to the local record store and buy that much needed CD for $16.95. You know the one that only has one good song that you will ever use. But some guy just has to hear that song the next time you play (then multiply that by 50 people who want a different song). Got to please your fans. A good library of music can set you back a few hundred or thousands of dollars.

You make that appointment to meet with your clients and sign the contract. If your into beat or scratch mixing you spend a bit of time just practicing your art. The weekend comes and your out in the heat or cold (I live in New England) packing your gear in the van. With any luck it's a fairly local gig that you can drive to in about an hour, sometimes it's 3 hours both ways. You will unpack, setup, test the equipment and wait. Because if your a good DJ, then you arrive at the gig with plenty of time to spare. Time that could be used to fix a problem that might have happened but with luck did not or time to make sure your all setup before the guests start arriving. If all goes well, you have got time to wait (bring a book).

So here comes the four hour gig. You play your best music but you also put up with the people who are drunk, the people who request songs but do not know the name of the song or the artist who sang it (you must be a mind reader) and then there are the people who just want you to play some music that you know for sure would just kill the festivities (they won't listen to reason).

Finally it's pay time. Too bad the work is not over. Time to pack up, load the van, drive it home, unpack the van and get to bed. Maybe it's 4:00 in the morning and you have got another gig that night. Maybe all your friends were having a great party (wish you were here)while you was out just playing your music. If your in demand, you have not had a weekend off all year. If you have a day job then you find yourself working a seven day week. Your four hour job can end up taking up to 10 or 12 hours to do. But hey, I just got a big load of cash for only playing music for four hours. The heck with my social life. I am a DJ and I got lots of money (and deep in debt, plus van repair bills) to prove it.

Coldplay 8X10 Framed And Matted Color Photo

This is a beautifully framed and matted 8x10 glossy photograph. Total size is approximately 12x15 inches. This framed and matted photograph will look wonderful in any room of your house. Ready to hang right when you take it out of the box!

You can tell summer has arrived here in France because the signs are all around us.

First up there are the obvious ones - such as the weather and the dress code. Of course the latter, especially in the nation's capital, can still turn into something of a catwalk as this year's chic hits the streets big time in what for many is the Mecca of the fashion world.

Then there are the music festivals, concerts, outdoor productions, and jumble sales held up and down the country and let's not forget the smell of a BBQ wafting in from the neighbour's garden.

Prime time television news reports begin focusing on the queues at airports and the number of passengers passing through the French capital's major railway stations, rather than hard news. And national newspapers go in for the inevitable silly season.

The inside lanes of the motorways are bumper-to-bumper full of Dutch cars, trailers and caravans, busting at the seams with provisions for a month.

In August of course, when (hopefully) summer will be in full swing a huge chunk of the country will all but close down for a month and Paris will put up shop almost completely as the French head south literally and metaphorically with "Aoutien" holidaymakers replacing "Juilletistes".

But the real clue that the whole shebang is underway has to be the reappearance on the small screen of Secret Story.

It reared its less than attractive head on Friday evening on the country's number one national channel, TF1, and is set to be in everyone's sitting rooms for the next 10 weeks.

In essence it's France's answer to Big Brother - only more downmarket. Impossible you might think, but sadly true.

Basically the idea is very simple. It starts with 15 people, strangers to each other - with the odd exception, as will become clearer later on - moving into a built-for-TV house, where they'll be under the watchful eye of the production team and the viewing public 24/7 (via the Internet of course) for two and a half months.

Each carries with them into the house a "secret" - and the idea is to keep it hidden from the others for as long as possible while trying to cajole out of fellow house mates exactly what they're trying to keep under wraps.

Off camera there is also the deep bass booming tones of The Voice (La Voix), dropping hints whenever he feels like it, setting playful if somewhat idiotic tasks with cash rewards should they be completed successfully without anyone else in the house realising.

Every week two candidates are nominated and television viewers get to vote in a 'phone poll (at premium rates of course) on who should stay in. Original stuff huh?

Yes the country which so often likes to think that it has taken the cultural highroad, brought the world classics in the fields of literature, art and music, prides itself on its language and traditions, cuisine, fine wines and haute couture - now proves once again that it can mix it with the best and worst of what the world of reality TV has to offer.

The new series, which kicked off on Friday evening will have a hard act to follow.

Last summer, when TF1 first ran the programme, the eventual winner quickly had her secret revealed .She was a triplet - and after the other house members wheedled it out of her, in tramped her two sisters.

Thus the three of them provided viewers with hours of entertainment as they played cards, ate, played cards and slept, eventually being crowned the winners because.... well because they were pretty inoffensive and bland.

Up against them was the nudist, the escort boy, the son of a famous French tennis player (Henri Leconte) a transsexual and an obnoxious couple (their secret) who bickered and manipulated their way to the final, earning their Warhol moment of fame and then (thankfully) disappearing into oblivion.

This year's dollop of dubious "culture" kicked off with the contestants tastefully arriving at the house one by one in his and hers blue and pink limos. Each woman seemingly more buxom than the last, many of them sporting micro dresses of which even pop diva Mariah Carey would have been envious.

And with a few exceptions each man was more muscled, more coiffed and more drop-dead gorgeous than the last, preening and pouting as though they were models in Milan.

Separately they tottered, strutted, swaggered or tripped their way through the jeering and cheering masses into 10-weeks-worth (for the eventual winner) of fleeting public notoriety and a stab at the chance of picking up a 150,000 cheque at the end.

Some of the contestants have had their secrets revealed to the public already - such as the lesbian couple from Belgium, the black mother and white daughter or the 30-something hunk and teenage siren who have to pretend to be "a couple". But none of the other housemates (apart from those "in" on their own coupled secrets) is any the wiser yet.

Nor do any of the contestants know exactly what secrets they have to find out, although once again viewers have been told that among the 15 there is an Anglican minister (male of female not revealed), an undertaker, a medium (who you would think might just have a head start on the others and know whether he or she would end up winning), a prince or princess and a Don Juan with apparently more than 750 "conquests" under his belt already.

So as the 15 pretenders to the title of French telly's newest reality TV hero or heroine are busy settling in to their 24/7 life together transmitted live on the Net and daily on the small screen, we can probably expect some tasteless antics similar to last year's offering - such as the rump steak shoved down the underpants of one male contestant.

There'll also doubtless be the same sort of petty rivalries, squabbles and handbags-at-dawn stuff that characterised much of the first series.

But breathe a sigh of relief because at least it's all being done in the name of entertainment. And as much as some might question why and find it "outrageous", there'll probably still be millions tuning in.

Let's also not forget there's always the "off" button on the TV set or alternative viewing on other channels.

As compulsive and trashy as Secret Story might be it'll still more than likely pull in the viewers and become its own story in itself as the nation tut-tuts and hisses in disapproval and indignation at the antics of the previous night's revelations.

Oh well. In the indomitable words of La Voix "C'est tout pour le moment."

Music is an important part of the
celebration of your marriage. Throughout history, music has been used for
weddings to bring the community together with sounds and rhythms that have the
power to surpass age and status buriers, uniting everyone in support of your
marriage.

When choosing music for your wedding (in addition to your personal preferences)
its important to consider the musical tastes and desires of your guests. A good
point to consider is that your wedding (reception and/or ceremony) is an
opportunity for you to give back to your guests for their participation and
support, so choose a musical selection that will appeal the most to your guests.

Music is also a great stress reliever or ice breaker because it helps people
to relax and transition from what is often a very formal situation to an
environment where people can express themselves more fully.

There are 2 general types of music available for a modern wedding, they are:

1) A DJ

2) Live Musicians

A DJ (which stands for Disk Jockey) is a person who plays CDs through a sound
system at your reception and provides stage lighting for additional effect. The
advantage to hiring a DJ is that they are typically less expensive than live
musicians, and you can have all the songs that you want played for your
reception.

The disadvantages to hiring a DJ are that the music can sometimes seem a bit
generic or un-lively, and may be inappropriate for your ceremony. Some people
may also feel that DJ music is cheesy or uninteresting due to the lack of
musical flexibility and depending on the DJs individual approach - you may or
may not want to have them emcee for the reception.

Hiring live musicians is the other option you have for your wedding music. This
is typically more expensive and may involve a bit more planning than a DJ, but
can be a very uplifting resource for you and your wedding guests.

How do you envision your wedding reception? Do you want to dance with your
guests or are you intend to have a more subdued event? If you dont want
dancing, you may choose classical or jazz musicians to entertain - This could
include a string quartet, a harpist, pianist or any other type of soloist.
(Soloists are often the first choice for wedding ceremonies as well).

If you DO intend for there to be dancing as a part of your wedding celebration
theres nothing better for this than a live dance band! The advantage to hiring
a live band for your reception is that there is a certain synergy that occurs
when live musicians perform together that cannot be achieved with a DJ, and live
musicians can are also able to adapt to the vibe of the room playing faster,
slower, louder or softer depending on the preferences of you and your guests.

Skilled wedding musicians can also allow for members of the wedding party to participate by singing along or joining in with the band. This can add a great
deal of value to your wedding reception by creating the great Kodak Moments
that everyone will remember for years and years to come.

Take your time and consider the options carefully. Use the internet to research
your options and look in local wedding trade journals for musician and DJ
listings before you hire. Make a list of questions and concerns that you may
have and ask them of your perspective entertainers.

Your wedding day is YOUR DAY make it great with music that compliments
the theme and emotion that you want reflected at your wedding.

Latin Thug - 4 Life Beater - Women's T-Shirt

Ballet is an art and it is different from other dance forms. Ballet is a specific dance form and technique. Many historians list dance as the oldest of the human art forms. When looking at dance it is very structured in its movements, when dance is set to a musical score for rhythm, you are able to see how the physical movements translate into joy and happiness. The movements of ballet beautify and create gracefulness throughout your limbs and body. Enchanting and graceful with unbelievable steps, ballet is an extremely difficult dance to learn perfectly.

An important part of the ballet dancers equipment is the ballet shoe, while the shoes are beautiful they are essential and important in the ballet dance. The ballet shoes are designed to be pleasing to the audience and mostly they are designed to function for the dancers. Ballet shoes typically do not last very long and have a short life, but the shoes were designed to help the dancer move with implausible strength and grace while dancing. Pointe shoes, in many ways, can be considered an extension of the dancer. When purchasing ballet shoes keep in mind that leather last longer than canvas, if you do purchase the shoes in canvas you will need to replace them more often. Another decision that must be made for ballet flat shoes is the type of closure on them. When taking ballet classes the teacher or instructor might have color, type and brand requirements, so check before purchasing. When just starting out and learning ballet it is not important to purchase the most expensive shoes, purchase your ballet shoes at a discount store, if you like it you can always purchase more expensive shoes.

Beginning students for any type of activity always look ahead and imagine the day when they will be able to wear pointe shoes. Ballet shoes are not a normal looking dance shoes they have an odd shape and with a flat section in the front of the shoe but they are designed in this fashion to help the dancer stand on their toes. There are several elements involved in the anatomy of a pointe shoe, all of which contribute to its fit and performance. When first starting out in ballet and you will need to purchase ballet shoes, you will not need pointe shoes until you reach a more advanced level..

Tights come in a variety of colors, with the most popular being pink and black. Ballet dancers usually wear either tights or leotards for comfortable body maneuver. The tights that Ballet dancers wear are tight-fitting which allows the fluid movement when the dancers are performing. Specialized ballet tights are often found in plain colors.

From the beginning of time dances such as ballet have been intertwined with music. Without music ballet is nothing more than the empty motions of a ritual. Such schools offer both beginners classes as well as classes for training professionals with live music accompanying instructions and training.

If your children are just starting ballet you might look to see if your town offers classes. Most of the time the town ballet classes that are offered are much more inexpensive than private lessons, and are a good way of determining if your child will like this type of dance.

LP RhythMix Mini Bongos

Our Rythmic Bongos are two-headed drums that produce hearty, authentic sound. They stand 6" tall, with 4" and 5" diameter sturdy synthetic heads - like two drums in one! Includes a musical activity booklet. Ages 2 and up.
Customer Review: Not easy to play with bare hands and too pricey*, but not all bad
Trying to play these myself, I have to play pretty forcefully to get a decent pitch. It's not nearly as easy to play as a better quality, non-toy version of bongos, but then, it's a whole lot sturdier than a quality wood & skin drum. The colors are vibrant and very appealing. These have withstood the abuses heaped on them by my kids from their toddler through preschooler years, and still look great. Buy a pair of mallets or drumsticks to go with these: it makes it a whole lot easier to play, and gives children more immediate gratification. *The "too pricey" comment was made when these were retailing at $35. The new list price of $20 seems much more reasonable, and a real bargain at the sale price of $13.99!

Origin:

Rumba has two origins: Spanish as well as African. Rumba was first danced by African slaves as early as the 16th century. The Rumba folk dance had sexual connotations with the male having a sexually agressive attitude and the female having a deffensive attitude. It gaining popularity in Latin America in the 1920s.

Music:

Like Salsa, Rumba music is played in 4/4 but the music is much slower at just over 100 bpm. Traditionally, Rumba is danced on the second beat with a pause on the first beat although American style Rumba is danced on the first beat. The forth beat is usually accentuated.

Dance:

Rumba is primarily a sex pantomime. The hip movements are quite exaggerated, especially for the men. The men have a sexually agressive attitude in the dance and the women have a sexually deffensive attitude. The women usually dance with a hankerchief in their hands which is waved in front of the body enticing the men, but when the men react the women quickly "cover up". Traditionally, the men "attack" with their hips by getting very close to the women, but some variations allow men to "attack" with other parts and from a distance!

Latinos NZ Popularity Scale: 3/10

Rumba is not a very popular dance in New Zealand's Latin clubs, primarily because Kiwis are fairly reserved on the dance floor. But, as more and more dancers learn the dance it is definitely becoming more popular!

Rumba is the dance of love and sex. So, don't be scared to have some fun!

Customer Review: parental advisory
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter, assuming that because it was geared towards kids, it would be appropriate. I was disappointed to see that these cds had a parental advisory: "Explicit lyrics" sticker on them. It did not say this in the product description. I will be returning this item.
Customer Review: Karaoke CD review
I like this, because i love to sing. It educates you in music and is a lot of fun to do with your friends. Its not very durable though, but how many CDs are???

" Coldplay " the Singles and B Sides: Piano, Voice and Guitar

Most people think that selecting the perfect acoustic guitar is a simple task, but whether you are a beginner or an expert, choosing the right guitar can be a very difficult decision.

For most beginners an acoustic or classical guitar is a great choice because it is easy to use and requires almost no accessories.

The first step in selecting the perfect acoustic guitar is to do your research. With so many different products, manufacturers and styles of guitars available on the market, musicians need to be well informed. Talk to the sales people at your local music store and ask as many questions as possible.

The second step in selecting the perfect guitar is deciding which type of guitar you want to play: Acoustic or Classical. Classical guitars use nylon strings which produce a soft, mellow sound, while acoustic guitars use steel strings and produce a bolder, stronger sound.

The third important step in choosing an acoustic guitar is whether you want six or twelve strings. Twelve string guitars require much more precision and skill than a six string guitar. If you are a beginning player it is always recommended to start playing with a six string guitar and as your skills increase move on to a twelve string guitar.

The fourth step in selecting the perfect acoustic guitar is choosing the right body type. The body of the guitar is split into three separate parts: a top bough, the waist and the bottom bough. The waist is the narrow part in the middle of the body and the boughs are the bulges above and below the waist. Having a seamless fit between the body of the musician and the body of the guitar is very important for comfortable playing.

The fifth step is to select the type of wood the guitar body is made from. Most guitar bodies are made from a top, a bottom and a single band of molded wood for the sides. Each has a sound hole cut out of the center which emits the sound from the strings. Guitars can be made from either laminated wood or solid wood. Laminated wood guitars are less expensive and deliver average to excellent sound. Solid wood guitars can be very expensive but deliver exceptional tones and superior sound.

The sixth step for buying the perfect guitar is to test it out. When trying out new guitars always try to play the same musical selection. This will allow you to hear the different tones and sounds available from model to model. If you are a beginner and don't know how to play, ask one the sales associates to play a sample for you. Most employees in music stores play instruments themselves and are always willing to show off their skills.

The seventh and last step to selecting the best acoustic guitar is to know your budget. Acoustic guitars can cost as little as fifty dollars and as much as thirty thousand. Look around in music stores, online and in local pawn shops to find high quality guitars at reasonable prices.

Follow these steps and you'll own the guitar of your dreams in no time!

The esteban guitar is a great acoustic guitar for beginners. You can pick one up at our as seen on tv product site.

GORILLAZ - LOOKOUT SOFTIES - T-SHIRT

A guitar is an amazing instrument. Sometimes hard to play but with easy nice sounding guitar chord secrets everywhere. Let's explore some easy but nice guitar chords.

Our first guitar chord will be Dmaj7. It is played in this way for example:

Dmaj: 0/4 2/3 2/2 2/1

An explanation of the notation. The first number indicates which fret to press down. The number after the slash which string. 2/3 means, press down the second fret on the third string.

If you lift up your fingers from this chord you will get a very easy guitar chord to play indeed! We can call it an Em7. It will look this way:

Em7: 0/4 0/3 0/2 0/1

This little chord progression makes a nice little intro to a song in D-major. If we write down a little guitar chord sequense it might look like this:

Dmaj7 / / / Em7 / / / Dmaj7 / / / Em7 / / /

We will now spice the second chord a bit by playing a Gm6. It looks like this:

Gm6: 0/4 3/3 3/2 0/1

We can use this guitar chord in an intro with the same function as the one above:

Dmaj7 / / / Gm6 / / / Dmaj7 / / / Gm6 / / /

Let's introduce a new guitar chord. We can call this chord D11:

D11: 0/4 5/3 5/2 5/1

As you maybe already have figured out you can slide the Dmaj7 chord up a few frets and you will get this chord. We will now create a progression with these three guitar chords:

Dmaj7 / / / D11 / / / Gm6 / / / Gm6 / / /

The next guitar chord is easy to play too. It is a G-minor chord. It is actually the same chord shape as the guitar chord Dmaj7 but on the third fret. It looks like this:

Gm: 0/0 3/3 3/2 3/1

Now we will create a guitar chord progression with these four chords together:

Dmaj7 / / / D11 / / / Gm / / / Gm6 / / /

The art of sliding chords to new frets is an exciting and easy way to find new guitar chords and sounds to use in your playing.

We will end this article on easy guitar chords in D by experimenting a bit with the D-major chord. Here is the most common D-major chord:

D: 0/4 2/3 3/2 2/1

By sliding this guitar chord up three frets up you will get the Dm7 chord or D-minor seventh. It looks like this:

Dm7: 0/4 5/3 6/2 5/1

Slide it up two frets from this position and you will get a G-major chord. It looks like this:

G: 0/4 7/3 8/2 7/1

The last guitar chord to explore will be A-major with D bass, notated A/D. Here it is:

A/D: 0/4 9/3 10/2 9/1

Let's make an impressive intro with these four chords but with the same chord shape by sliding the D-major chord up:

D / / / Dm7 / / / G / / / A/D / / /

The guitar really is an amazing instrument. Many more chords can be changed in similar ways to create new interesting sounds that will enrich your playing!

Bharatanatyam is a classical dance form that claims its source from Tamil Nadu, South India. Most of the sculptures in Hindu temples are based on Bharata Natyam dance postures known as karanas. In fact, it is the celestial female dancers or apsaras, who are depicted in many scriptures performing this heavenly dance, known on earth as Bharatanatyam. In the most essential sense, a Hindu deity is revered in royal opulence in his temple and offered a standard set of religious services called arotiks, among which are music and dance that are pleasing to the senses. Bharata Natyam as a dance form and carnatic music set to it are deeply grounded in the devotional mood, Bhakti. Bharata Natyam is said to be the embodiment of music in visual form and an offering of devotion.

Bharatanatyam is the manifestation of the ancient idea of the celebration of the eternal universe through the beauty of the material body.

The physical expressions express a poetic meaning known as Abinaya. It means that the emphasis is more on facial expressions than rhythmic movements. Abinaya is divided into four categories:

1. Angikabhinaya

2. Vachikabhinaya

3. Aharyabhinaya

4. Satvikabhinaya

Angikabhinaya : Expressing the meanings of lyrics through the body parts like Head, Hands, Legs etc.

Vachikabhinaya : Expressing the Story via a dance drama

Aharyabhinaya : Imitating the dresses, Jewellery, Make-up etc. in the dance.

Satvikabhinaya: Showing the devotional moods come under Satvikabhinaya.

Lord Shiva is said to be the embodiment of the 4 types of abinaya.

Kathak is a partly narrated dance form based on fast footwork (tatkar), spins (chakkar) and innovative use of the devotional moods in abhinaya. Today it's more of a form that has been practiced in the past by historical narratives, by kathakas or ancient bards, temple performances and the bhakti movement.

Kathak is an important classical dance in the culture of India, and an increasingly world popular theater art form. The word Kathak comes from katha, which means "pastimes-telling". 'Katha kahey so kathak kahaye', which means one who narrates a pastime through a dance form is a Kathak. Long ago, the performers of kathak known as Kathakars narrated stories in temples of North India. The movement of hands, body and facial expressions used by the Kathakars to enrich the narrative, has given birth to Kathak.

Accoring to history, the earliest reference of this art is found in the Mahabharata, the great epic poem spoken about five thousands years ago. At this early stage the art of Kathak was performed by a group of Brahmins in glorification of the lord.

Change in the Bhakti Era

During the period of fervent worship of Radha and Krishna, Kathak was used to narrate pastimes of these two eternal personalities. Popular performances included Sri Krishna's exploits in the holy land of Vrindavan, and pastimes of Krishna's mischiefs as a child.

Music Within is a film based on the true life story of Richard Pimentel, the man who created the Americans with Disabilities Act. Pimentel becomes deaf after a bombing in the Vietnam War. When he comes home, two influential things happen: he is told he can't enter college; and he meets Art Honeyman, a man with cerebral palsy. Pimentel finds his calling in life: to help those with disabilities get jobs and be accepted by the general public.

Fans of uplifting, touching stories will love this film. Anyone who knows someone who is disabled (which is pretty much everyone) can appreciate what Pimentel was able to do with his life's work.

I particularly liked Pimentel's wit and humor portrayed in the film. After watching the featurettes of Pimentel's speeches, I found that many of the film's great lines of dialogue came directly from the man himself. I also loved Art's character with his undeniable charm.

This film made me want to change the world. It's films like this that give me hope in humanity, that drive me to keep that hope. It made me believe in the good in humanity.

The cast of this film is incredible! The acting is superb. Ron Livingston was a delightful surprise for the lead role, and he does very well in portraying the talented and humorous public speaker. If you see the actor who portrayed Art Honeyman (Michael Sheen) speak, you'll be amazed at how different he is from the character he played. Not only does he portray very accurately a man with cerebral palsy, but he manages to capture Honeyman's sharp wit and humor perfectly.

The special features of the DVD include several deleted scenes, a "making of" featurette and clips from a speech given by Richard Pimentel as he relates the major events of the film. At 94 minutes, the film does feel a little short compared to most films made these days, but it does well to present this amazing story to its viewers.

I think everyone can benefit from watching this film. I believe it will inspire many to fight for their own causes and to perhaps view the disabled in a new light.

My husband and I saw the trailer for this film while watching another DVD. The trailer alone affected us like no other. We knew we had to see this film as soon as possible. We just knew we would love it, and we did. The extras on this film are excellent glimpses behind the scenes and into the real story behind the dramatization.

Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine - Homecoming Concert

Customer Review: Homecoming Concert One More Time...
This is the concert where I fell in love with Gloria and the MSM. The music is classic and the performance brings me back to my happy teen years. I have played the video at least once/week for the last 15 years and it never fails to make me feel good. Gloria's outfits are very sexy and alot of fun to look at. From the thigh boots and tight body outfit it to the chaps wearing biker chick look she oozes Sex Appeal. Hoping some day it'll be on DVD and re-released as a Classic. Joanne
Customer Review: Excellente (y Caliente?)
This is a classic concert. And I agree that it should be released on DVD. "Words Get in the Way" performed accousticly with John and Jorge on guitars, "FANTASTIC". Or how about Gloria looking "Caliente" wearing jeans covered by some leather cowboy stuff. Next year I went to the concert in Rotterdam, but she didn't wear the outfit. Hahahha. Should have asked my money back. No, seriously. This tape is EXCELLENTE (Y CALIENTE?).
