I believe that every teenager, educator and parent should watch this movie. Freedom Writers is a lesson in life and the impact education and/or ignorance has on young lives. I'm ashamed I hadn't seen it sooner.
To grow up in an environment where all roads seem littered with debris of failure and hopelessness, this movie shows that all it takes is a teacher who cares and a willingness to seek change in self to clear a road for success.
We are never too old, too bad, too cool, too anything to learn. We're sometimes just too busy surviving our small world of codes and conduct to try living and learning about life outside our own experiences. Its about choices.
