Interesting story, BUT -- unless you don't mind seeing people tortured in unpleasant detail, SKIP this film. Too many gruesome scenes, and the film itself just isn't worth it. I finally turned it off after an hour & 22 minutes (with 50 minutes still to go!) The last stomach-turning torture scene was more than enough for me. As they say in French, degoutant!
