The first three seasons of "Supernatural" were great - but season four is just a notch over horrible. I'm actually surprised to see all of the five star ratings here, especially from those who have followed the program from the beginning. I don't see how the writers will be able to pull the show out of the pits of Hell they've thrown it into after the botch job they did this season. Unless they get back to the basics and move in a different direction, I can't see the program surviving another season. I mean angels and raising Lucifer...the show was better when the Winchesters boys were just investigating urban legends and things that go bump in the night.
The angels pull Dean from the pits of Hell, Sam raises Lucifer - where can it really go from here? And then there's the writer in the show...a Prophet of God who is writing the "Winchester Gospels"....how stupid!
The differences between the Winchester boys used to be funny too - the way their personalities played off of each other was fun. But the Dean character has become an insufferable, self-righteous bully that dominates the program.
I'll have to think seriously before I sink anymore money into future seasons. At this point this show is going nowhere!
