Please note that I absolutely love this show - it is one of my favorites that is currently on television. It's funny, has great action sequences and a very interesting story. But the Blu-Ray is lacking in several areas. First of all, the video quality is nowhere near what it should be. The image is noticeably grainy in many spots and actually seems inferior in quality to the DVD version of the season. The audio also has some problem areas, but is not as bad as the video. Additionally, the menu is simply awful. When you put in the first disc, it is going to start playing the first episode without any prompting from you. When you press the menu button, it shows up like a pop up at the bottom of the screen. I have seen similar menu usage on other Blu Rays, but I have never seen a disc so reliant upon it. You will have some issues with the menu once an episode is over, as well. The menu options change at the end of the episode, and you often have to start up a different episode to get the original menu so that you can change episodes. It seriously seems like no one even bothered to make sure that this disc functioned correctly after it was written.
All of these faults aside, the Blu Ray is not unwatchable. While I would recommend the DVD if given the choice, the Blu Ray is currently cheaper and has been for quite some time. You will find yourself somewhat annoyed while watching the Blu Ray, but it doesn't destroy the experience.
