^& Tchaikovsky Swan Lake Blu ray

The Swan Lake production by the Mariinsky (formerly Kirov) Ballet is fantastic. The video transfer to Blu-ray brings the quality to an even higher level. This is by far the best ballet video I have seen among Blu-ray and DVD formats.

Performance : 5

I am still looking for a Svetlana Zakharova performance on a Blu-ray disc.

-- Tchaikovsky Swan Lake Blu ray

This is really a Rudolf made Swan Lake. Maybe it could be considered as a good performance in 1960s, but a different story after 2000. The leader dancers are less of skills, comparing to the Russian Dancers. Anyway, the video image is awesome and the group dancing is very good. Personally, I would recommend the Uliana Lopatkina release.
