Thanks to the producers of this bluray disc......the Neverending Story had been all but forgotten. It was made back in the 80's and was well before CGI was with us.
We saw it whilst in Europe on one of the satellite providers...then in 4:3 format and with 2 channel stereo...we taped it tback then....the VHS is still around...why bother when this classic children's tale has been released in full wide screen and five channel sound.
Made in Germany the Neverending story is a tribute to the excellent work of Bavaria Film Studios.
If you see this film for the first time it is hard to believe there were no computers creating the special effects. "All done on film"
There's a Never Ending Story two...so far not on Blu Ray......we'll be looking out for this if it too goes into an HD release.
